the south of a continent II

the first part of the journey brought us to this place and we almost could touch, the coldness of the ever ice – lago grey

long roads with no asphalt and roads that have been asphalted. time passes and borders are crossed – el calafate

the ice from the mountains glides slowly down and melts at the end of its long journey into water. it’s color is like a magnet – perito moreno glacier

a city full of live and on the streets are driving the cars – el calafate

[[ back ]]

driving on – … and still, the mountains are our quiet companions in the distance – cordillera paine

[[ back ]]

a journey needs a pause, and a pause needs to be enjoyed – los glaciares national park

[[ back ]]

a small nest, a small town but in the middle of beautiful nature – el chaltén

[[ back ]]

the nature around el chaltén passing by the chorrillo del salto and on the ways towards – taguna torre

[[ back ]]

the way from el chaltén takes a while but is relative easy to walk, and the end the is the lake – taguna torre

[[ back ]]

the journey goes and we are back on streets without asphalt – passing villages and cars and people

[[ back ]]

it is an endless distance, but with borders and such sad endings – guanaco

[[ back ]]

the ancestors knew and came to this place. they left their traces and we can remember them – cueva de las manos

[[ back ]]

not far are where we met our ancients, is a small town – perito moreno, santa cruz

[[ back ]]

the pure endless expanse of the landscape

[[ back ]]

we continue north, on narrow roads we cross small mountain passes and passing lakes and views

[[ back ]]

but the landscape remains in mind …
